FAQs

Questions, answered.

How do you check the dates on this site?

We check each event against its official source before publishing and re-check on a rolling basis; the latest check date is printed on the event page.

What does “tentative date” mean?

The organiser has not published dates for the next edition yet. The window is built from the previous edition or from tradition, and it is labelled everywhere it appears, including in the event's structured data. It is a planning guide, not a confirmed date: check the official source before booking travel around it.

Can I buy tickets through Atlanta What's On?

We do not sell tickets ourselves. Event pages link to the official event site. Where a booking partner is linked, its button names the partner under the button text, and the price you pay is set by the seller and is the same whether or not you use our link.

Do you earn money from links on this site?

Some links are affiliate links and may earn us a commission, at no extra cost to you. That commission is what keeps this site going: it covers the work of checking every date and keeping the calendar up to date.

When is Dragon Con?

Dragon Con, the city's biggest fan convention, takes over downtown Atlanta over the Labor Day weekend each year. Confirmed dates for the next edition appear on its event page as soon as the calendar carries them.

What is the weekly note?

One email a week: what is on in Atlanta, which tentative dates have just been confirmed, and the weekends worth planning around while rooms are still bookable. Subscribers receive the note first; the public page follows a few days later.

How do date alerts work?

On a tentative event, use the alert box on its page and leave your email address. We send one short email to confirm the address is yours, then one email when the event goes live, with tickets and places to stay you can book. That is the end of the alert, and you can manage or cancel alerts from the link in those emails.

Can I add an event to my own calendar?

Yes, every event, tentative or confirmed. Use the Add to calendar buttons on the event page to download a calendar file or add it to Google Calendar. The entry says Tentative or Confirmed in its title.

Can I list my event?

Yes. Use the Submit an event page. Listings are free, and every submission is checked against an official source before it appears.
