About this place

Georgia Aquarium stands on Baker Street at the north end of Centennial Olympic Park, in the middle of the downtown attractions cluster. Its own visitor pages count more than 11 million gallons of water and more than 500 species across its galleries, which makes it the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere.

The headline gallery is Ocean Voyager, built around whale sharks, with a walk-through tunnel and a vast viewing window; the cold-water galleries hold beluga whales and sea otters. The Aquarium's own advice is to check the day's hours before you set out, because closing times move around the calendar and the last entry is half an hour before closing.
