About this place
The High is Atlanta's art museum and the visual anchor of the Woodruff Arts Center on Peachtree Street. Its collection runs to more than 20,000 works, from nineteenth-century American painting to African art and contemporary photography.
The buildings are part of the visit: Richard Meier's white enamelled original and Renzo Piano's later additions hold the galleries. The museum closes on Mondays and keeps a shorter Sunday, and Friday evenings and family programmes sit in its calendar alongside the exhibitions.
