About this place

Piedmont Park is Midtown's front lawn: more than 200 acres of meadows, sports fields and woodland paths between Midtown and Virginia-Highland, with Lake Clara Meer at its centre and the downtown skyline over the trees. The Conservancy that cares for it calls it Atlanta's most visited public park.

Come on a Saturday morning in season and the Green Market fills the 12th Street gate with farmers and food trucks; on any day, the dog parks, the Active Oval and the picnic lawns do the same work. The BeltLine's Eastside Trail touches the park, and the Botanical Garden stands at its northeast corner.
