About this place
The Fox opened in December 1929 as a movie palace in full Moorish dress: minarets, onion domes and an auditorium ceiling painted as an Arabian night sky. It seats 4,678 and now hosts touring Broadway, concerts, comedy and ballet, under the care of the nonprofit that Atlanta organised to save it when demolition threatened in the 1970s.
If no show fits your dates, the guided tours are the way in: an hour through the interiors and the story of the building, including its 1929 Moller organ, the Mighty Mo. The Georgian Terrace hotel stands directly across Peachtree Street, which makes the pair of them Midtown's most theatrical block.
