About this place

Fernbank is Atlanta's natural history museum, in the Druid Hills woods east of downtown, and it is half museum, half forest. Inside stand the Giants of the Mesozoic, some of the largest dinosaurs ever mounted, and a giant screen theatre; outside lie 75 acres of WildWoods and Fernbank Forest, one of the last old-growth forests inside a major American city.

The museum is a nonprofit and a family staple: hands-on science galleries for children, canopy-level walks and nature play outside, and late openings on select Museum Nights. One ticket covers everything, including a film.
